Talk about a party in your mouth! These easy homemade donuts will make today, National Donut Day, the absolute best day ever!
My sister gave me this recipe just a few days ago and I hadn’t found the time to try it. When I found out today was National Donut Day, I figured it was a sign, so I went with it.
Seriously, best donuts I’ve ever had. They are so crispy on the outside and soooo soft on the inside. They take less than 30 minutes to prep and make, and about 5 to take them all down, haha!
HAPPY FRIDAY and HAPPY DONUT DAY!
- 1 can (16.3 oz) Pillsbury refrigerated homestyle buttermilk biscuits
- Vegetable or grape-seed oil for frying
- Organic sugar to sprinkle on top
*Separate dough into 8 biscuits & cut a hole in center, using a 1-inch round cookie cutter, or in my case, a shot glass! (keeping it classy)
*Heat about 2 inches of oil on medium heat. Fry biscuits (donuts) for about 15-20 seconds on each side.
*Remove and place on paper towels to cool. Sprinkle sugar on both sides.
THIS IS REAL! How incredibly tasty does this look?! You can keep the extra dough and make little donut holes! They fry for about 20 seconds.
